my eyes have always wandered
sought for the hidden
the unstudied
the forms nobody had looked for yet
for as long as i can remember, my hands have known what to do with garments before my mind did
pinning, twisting, folding, flipping, looking for the body beneath the body
i studied architecture, moved through other mediums, other languages of making
but fashion was the one that never let me go
of form is that longing, finally given form
not just a dream of pretty clothes,
but a dream of changing the way you meet your garments
an offering of a different way of seeing, a reform
not only of the garment, but of you, and how you hold it
nothing here is rushed, every detail was decided
because it mattered to me before it ever reached you
i have held this quietly for so long
afraid to let it be seen before it was ready
it is ready now
and so am i
thank you for being here
for my very first offering of form
